Elliots Bay is a spectacular surf beach ringed by steep farm
land. On the day that I was there the surf was huge and I couldn't
even get out through the whitewash on my friend's board. What
struck me most about this bay that afternoon was the way the light
poured through the surrounding hills and struck the tor in the
middle of the beach. Another nice thing about this beach is that
the surf is usually a little friendlier on the left hand side
of the tor (I wish I'd known that to start with). |
