I don't often paint in this style or on this large scale, but
this idea needed a sizeable canvas to convey itself well. The
day after I painted it a woman came in and bought it. Thankfully
she let me hold on to it for a while as it dried for varnishing
- which meant I got to enjoy it all the longer before she took
it away. Some paintings are like children - you don't want to
let them go). |
