I quickly got my camera out to capture the moment. Thinking she was spoiling the shot (not knowing she WAS the shot) she backed up and ducked behind the dunes, kindly waiting for me to take the photo. Too far away to shout, I pretended I was finished and turned the other way, awaiting her return. After a minute she still hadn't come out so I waved her down and THEN took the photo. Back in the studio I spent the day making this painting using the photo as a reference.
