Matapouri Evening - Triptych 31.07.06 Oil on Canvas 51 x 51cm (x3) $3500 SOLD Currency Converter	This scene was practically begging to be divided into a triptych painting. All I had to do was squeeze in 40m of beach on the left and add a more dramatic sky. Had lots of fun painting this piece - large areas of colour allowing fluid brushwork contrasted with smaller areas done with a thicker 'impasto' treatment. Classic New Zealand beach... but then I think that about all of them!
