Ding Bay is tucked away at the northern end of Langs Beach in Northland. Houses nestled in the bush above the bay command a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean. Sometimes a scene will present itself that requires little if any manipulation. This was one of those magic scenes. The only things I changed were the clouds, the shape of the big rock on the right and the shadows on the sand. If you go down there you will see the same rocks half buried in the sand and the same gnarled branches twisting overhead. The style I've used is slightly more expressive than usual and I'm looking forward to where this new development leads.
