This is the second of a series of paintings featuring the idyllic bays of the Whangarei Heads area. We've been lucky enough to spend a couple of new years eve's at Taurikura. Seems to me like there's always a holiday feeling in the air out there. It's only half an hour from Whangarei town but thankfully it's retained its relaxed atmosphere - there's always time for a stroll along the beach or a spot of fishing in the dinghy.
