I found this swing way down the southern end of Langs Beach hidden away under the sprawling pohutukawas. The trees formed a neat little arena around it so there was plenty of room to enjoy swinging any which way. The tide must come right up under the trees because mine were the first tracks in the sand, making it all the more special. I've painted the swing actual size so that you can just reach out and grab it and have a go. I was having a cup of coffee just admiring the finished painting when I found that if I stared at the swing long enough it began to move, ever so slightly, this way and that. Really makes me want to go back there and have another go on that swing.
