I saw a large family with this striking red umbrella on Ruakaka beach one day, just begging to be painted. I took several photos and rearranged the figures to suit, then decided it would look a lot more interesting if there was a storm coming in from the sea. Then the painting took on a new meaning as the family packs up to escape the rain at the end of the day. |
