This painting came after a smaller study piece. If you know this place you'll spot the differences immediately between what is actually there and what I have imagined. The main change I made was adding in the waterfall, and some landscape changes to accommodate it. It's exciting to create a landscape from real and imagined places - like in dreams a solid landscape can emerge from the wisps of a fleeting thought.
