When I came across this scene on a painting expedition I couldn't
believe my luck. Here was a scene which had painted itself - all
I needed to change were the lighting conditions. I spent over
an hour just standing there watching the oystercatchers, terns
and all manner of fishing birds skimming across the glassy water.
I watched as curious gulls glided in from the far shores and changed their paths
to see who was standing on the beach in the cold dawn. |
